This is a list of incidents, neglected news, that rarely makes the headlines. As an overview of social conflict, class struggle, eco-war, self-organisation, etc. it could never be anything but a partial listing, but it is merely a collection of moments defined by their participants.
24 June, California, USA - Diablo Valley Community College Police Station Destroyed by Arsonists. "3 separate incendiary devices ignited overnight to completely destroy the offices of the Diablo Valley College police. In a bold move against the growing police state, anonymous individuals in Pleasant Hill, California, have set fire to the offices of the Diablo Valley College police department. The fire was first reported at 2:25 am. Four engines, one truck and about 20 firefighters later and the blaze was finally put out, but not after completely destroying the lobby of the building, and making the structure unusable. The police services, an actual law enforcement department, patrols several campuses within the Contra Costa Community College District, but is based at DVC. Initial estimates show about $250,000 in damage was done to the structure, as well as $75,000 to the contents inside the office. In other countries, police are not allowed to set foot on college campuses. Yet in the United States, college bureaucrats welcome these armed thugs, hoping that they will keep the youth in line and prevent student revolts from taking place. With schools increasingly looking like prisons, we can only hope for more acts of resistance. As of yet, the police have named no suspects. unfortunately, the police department will still be able to function, though with less comfort. They will now be working out of a conference room in the business and foreign language department. 19 June, Campsfield Detention Centre, UK - 4 people imprisoned in Campsfield Detention Centre managed to escape! Seven detainees were found to be missing from the immigration prison in Oxfordshire in the early hours. Three of the men were later recaptured. Two have been returned to the centre and a third, who injured his ankles during the escape is being treated in hospital. But four men are still at liberty and police are combing the Oxfordshire countryside surrounding the centre. Inspector Graham Sutherland, of Thames Valley Police, said that police and GPO knew how the men had escaped but could not release details for fear of further escapes. The pig said "What I would say is that this wasn't a simple walk out. It was more planned and complicated than that. This was a planned escape". The men escaped through the back of the centre, which is situated on the outskirts of Kidlington and close to Oxford. The police threw a cordon around the centre and apparently 22 officers are searching the area, including in outbuildings and sheds. Life on your feet is better than on your knees - close all migration prisons.
18 June, Yorkshire, UK - Host of British National Party meeting has a house visit. Here is the Claim : "Good morning Farmer Scumbag! We hope that when the BNP farmer hosting this year's 'Red, White & Blue' Nazi-Fest woke up this morning to find he couldn't get out of his front gates as they had been chained shut, he liked the new paint job for his driveway. The bastard can expect a LOT more. Antifascists."
16 June, Halifax, Nova Scotia - Anarchists attack Bank of Montreal. Claim : "During the early morning hours of Monday, June 16 we comemmorated last years resistance to Atlantica as well as added to the current momentum against the G8, SPP and Olympics in the year 2010 by attacking the Bank of Montreal on Quinpool road. Two locks were sabotaged by inserting super glue and pins into the key holes. The walls were redecorated with positive messages for today's youth: "Class war Now", "Fuck Atlantica", and "Attack Capital".
This target was chosen because it's a bank and thus complicit in the capitalist plunder of our planet. As well BMO is a major sponsor of "Atlantica" a proposed free trade zone encapsulating the Maritime provinces, New England and parts of New York and Quebec. 15 June, Bristol, UK - Group 4 Security attacked. "Late on Sunday 15th June, G4S (Group 4 Security) depot in Portland Square, Bristol, was attacked by dedicated individuals. 3 vehicles were beaten up with sledgehammers in revenge for the beatings G4S give out to innocent migrants every day, in the course of their 'business'.
G4S pride themselves on doing evil cheaply and efficiently, just like fascist lackys in other times and places. Anything that can be done to cost them money and time is effective and worth the effort.
This beating goes out as a warning to all those who abuse power, and as an incentive to people who fight whatever side of the fence they are caught on."
15 June, Sheffield, UK - "Autonomous working class activists shut down the offices of Manpower in Sheffield city centre on the night of 15th June 2008. Posters and leaflets (in both English and Polish) were put up on the building and in the surrounding area exposing the companies exploitation of migrant workers and the need for working class unity to defeat the insecurity, low pay and poor conditions of casualised labour.
The text of the leaflet was as follows:
Manpower Inc., the international temping agency, has over 50 years experience in the field of job temping: 50 years to hone their skills of exploiting poor people, paying low wages and providing little or no job security. They're known for systematically refusing to increase wages for their workers - sometimes for 4 years at a time. They provide poor sickness, maternity and pension provision, too, and allow their staff fewer holidays than full time workers have.
In Sheffield, Manpower hire casual workers to work in BT call centres. They pay the staff that they hire 10% less than the market rate, leave them on temporary contracts for months at a time and systematically fire people with little or no recourse for industrial action because of the poor contracts.
And is if that wasn't enough, they not only exploit their own casual workers, they also hire temp workers to scab on other people's jobs, too, pitting working-class people against each other.
Last year, when Post Office workers went on strike against longer hours for less pay, it was Manpower who stepped in. They paid temporary workers to scab on other workers across the country, but many temp workers resisted, refusing to cross picket lines.

14 June, Campsfield Detention Centre, UK - Riot at immigration detention centre over imprisonment. A disturbance kicked off at around lunch time, people were angry because they are detained for a long time and so on, so they began messing up the dining hall, smashing windows, lighting fires. The library/ education was badly damaged by fire. Around 30 detainees climbed the roof. Others were jumping down walls in panic. Firefighters were called. Riot Police and a specialist Prison Guard unit used dogs and batons to suppress the uprising and forced the people back to their cells. This is the latest in a series of "disturbances" at the facility. In August last year, 26 immigrants managed to escape. Prior to that in March, an Algerian man attempted to forcefully resist efforts by immigration authorities to remove him. When fellow detainees attempted to help him a riot ensued in which 2 detainees and 7 staff staff were hospitalised. 13-14 June, Paris, France - Incendiary attacks against the state. Here is the claim : "In the framework of the international week of solidarity with Isa and the others, many vehicles were burned simultaneously on the night of Friday the 13th to Saturday the 14th in Paris: a diplomatic car on rue Weiss (13th arrondissement) outside the economic ministry (and a BMW was smashed), a very new van of the Forclum business (which belongs to the Eiffage group that build prisons) on rue de Charenton (12th arrondissement), and a truck belonging to the city hall of Paris on rue de Coriolis (12th arrondissement) that strives like its predecessors to hunt the poor of the city. Fire to all the prisons! Freedom for all the prisoners, with or without papers, with or without chlorate!"
13 June, Saloniki, Greece - Solidarity action at French consulate in Saloniki, Greece. "On friday 13/6 in Thessaloniki Greece happened a small solidarity action in front of the French consolidate. The action took part in the concept of the international solidarity week with the French comrades who are imprisoned and they are being accused under the anti terror law. 60 and more anarchists, antiauthoritarians and autonomous people participated in the action that lasted for half hour and ended with a small demo.

13-14 June, Kamagasaki, Japan - Riots in working class area of Osaka started by brutal beating by police. "The riot began because a man who was arrested in a shopping arcade near Kamagasaki was taken to the Nishinari police station where he was punched repeatedly in the face by four detectives one after another. Then he was kicked and hung upside down by rope to be beaten some more. Once he was free he showed his friends the wounds from the beatings and the rope. This brought over 200 workers around the police station who demanded that the police chief come out and apologize. Later people also started demanding that the four detectives be fired."
The cops and the station was attacked by stones, bottles, metal bars and rubbish from the street.
"The riot stopped about midnight yesterday (13th June) with the riot police being backed into the police station. This morning they brought over 35 police buses and riot vehicles into the Naniwa police station and are obviously planning to use them against the rioters. We were there for a few hours today and took many pictures and will report on the situation soon. Surveillance everywhere, especially from the top of the police station. The workers organizations maintaining the protest have chosen a good time to do this since it puts the police department in the international spotlight for their brutal practices. So far, the police have not made their move yet but when they do it will be merciless."
"Today a police infiltrator was found in the crowd, pushed up against a fence and got a metal bar to his skull." The situation is ongoing, watch for updates.
13 June, Saloniki, Greece - Incendiary device outside neonazi organizer's house.
"Friday morning, 13/06/2008, at 02:00 in the dawn we set an improvised incendiary device at the house of the Chryssi Avgi, Kostopoulos Christos, at Menemeni of Thessaloniki, on Bizaniou street 18. The device was set at the house's yard. This attack comes as a fair response to his participation in the coward and bully attack of 25 March 2006, that ended with the stabbing of 2 teenager antifascist students, that participated in a gathering against student parade marches. This fascists skunk didn't hesitate to come close to a murderous attempt against kids, that, whatsoever, couldn't be part of a political identity that forms the organized and dangerous enemy of the nation or the Chryssi Avgi gang.
Of course, we didn't expect from the police to enlighten, nor from justice to punish this thug. Thankfully, his former comrades keep their mouths widen open, and soon, we hope Kostopoulos Christos will have the chance to stand in patriotic pride up for his crime, towards his social and familiar milieu. Because, if he and his alikes, as well as those that cover, guide, organise and fund them all these years (and soon certain evidence for that will come to light), because if they believe, that they can stab from underage kids to demonstrators and immigrants and we will be staying silent, then, unfortunately for them, they are mislead. We now know the responsibles for many attacks, not only in Thessaloniki, but elsewhere too and we can assure them, that really soon, all those participating in these attacks will be called to bear their responsibilities.
It is clear that we don't forget and we sure don't forgive.

13 June, Yorkshire, UK - Blockade of coal train by activists against power station and climate collapse: "Protestors have halted a coal train carrying fuel for Drax power station in Yorkshire, the single biggest source of CO2 in the UK. The protest comes six weeks before the 2008 Camp for Climate Action at Kingsnorth power station - which will also highlight how using coal to supply energy will be a disaster for the planet.
Dressed in white overalls and canary outfits, they used safety signals to stop the train on a bridge overlooking the power station, before climbing on board and dumping coal off onto the tracks.
The train has been stopped on a branch line used exclusively for delivering coal to Drax. Protestors have used a network of climbing ropes to suspend themselves under the bridge from the train - meaning any movement while the protest continues is impossible.
Meanwhile the UK Government has "eviscerated" the Climate Change Bill and abandoned 2C maximum target for global temperature rise as scientists warn that a safe CO2 level might be a maximum of 350ppm - we are already at over 380ppm and the Arctic permafrost is melting." Video footage
12 June, Athens & Saloniki, Greece - Nine arson attacks and one communique in Greece. The targets in Athens: A vehicle and the sign of HYUNDAI car agency at Neo Psychiok, Interspor (athletics branch) at Halandri, Goody's (fast-food, greek multinational corporation) at Keratsini, vast damages at Pireaus bank in Kifissia, while one and a half hour later another Hyundai vehicle was totally wrecked in front of another dealership at Patissia. In Thessaloniki, between 4:40 and 5:10 in the morning, arsonists hit: a Vodafone shop at Toumba, a Goody's at Agias Sofias (city center), another Goody's at Eptalofos, and Piraeus bank on Antigonidon street (city center).

? June, LA, USA - University College of Los Angeles van goes up in flames against animal exploitation. Anonymous communique: "At the start of last week, in Irvine, CA, a van owned by UCLA went up in flames. For all of those affected you have the UCLA primate vivisection program to blame. It is unacceptable for us to see, hear, and know what is going on in our animal labs without taking action. 9 June, Stoke Holy Cross, Uk - Cars attacked during British National Party meeting. Several members of a far-right political party had their cars vandalised whilst the group held a meeting in a village near Norwich, windscreens were smashed, paint was sprayed across vehicles and paint stripper was poured over three cars parked at the Stoke Mill Conference Centre and Restaurant in Stoke Holy Cross. Around 100 supporters and members of the British Nationalist Party (BNP) had gathered at the venue for a meeting on Monday evening. But whilst the meeting was going on, anti-fascists went into the car park and carried out the attack.
9 June, Mexico - HLS Supplier DHL trashed for Active Slaughter punk "JJ", here is the anonymous communique (translation):
"Today as in years past we are living through a violent attack of the speciesist states against fighters for the liberation of animals and the earth. Confinement in apocalyptic prisons is an example of the fact that this movement is growing worldwide and that companies such as HLS fear those hooded saboteurs following them in the streets.

7 June, Kendal, UK - Police station attacked with device. A man has been arrested following an explosion and small fire at a police station in Cumbria. The blaze, in a store room at the station in Kendal, in the early hours of 7 June, was quickly extinguished, and no-one was injured. Police said early indications pointed to some sort of explosive device, but the investigation was still ongoing.
7 June, Halifax, Canada - Smashing action against gentrification! here is the claim: "During the early morning hours of Saturday, June 7th we expressed our discontent by attacking the gentrifuckers invading our neighborhood. A number of windows were smashed by rocks at the Cunard st. condo development, easily constructed paint bombs (light bulbs, filled with paint and sealed with duct tape) were thrown against the building to draw attention to the attack. 4 June, Portland, USA - Wells Fargo Attacked In Portland. Communique from anonymous anarchists:
"In the closing hour of June 4, the Wells Fargo on 39th and Powell in Portland, Oregon was attacked. A window pane was smashed in with a rock. This action is in solidarity with all those imprisoned in the ICE detention centers in the U.S. and all those imprisoned and oppressed by the industrial capitalist economy. 4 June, Brighton, UK - 350 person strong 'Carnival against the Arms Trade' ends with an invasion of EDO-MBM, an arms company producing weapons for the British and Israeli miltary. Cars and windows of the arms factory are smashed by activists and police use dogs, batons and fists to evict the crowd. There were quite a few arrests and a number of injuries. One police motorcycle outrider was seen covered head to toe in gloss paint. EDO-MBM was graffitied with "smash capita" and "F*ck EDO". IMC UK Report.
3 June, Charlotte, USA - $3.5 million mansion destroyed by fire. 16 partially or recently constructed luxury homes have been intentionally burned down in southeast Charlotte, western Union County, and Lancaster County, South Carolina since 2001. The fire at 8407 Winged Bourne Drive, south Charlotte, started about 7:30 p.m. in a second floor hallway and spread quickly, shooting flames hundreds of feet into the air. The three-story mansion off Gleneagles Road near Quail Hollow Club had plywood floors and studded walls and was about 60% complete. By Tuesday investigators had ruled out all possible accidental causes. Viva the ELF.
3 June, Holland - Greek Tourist Board attacked with paint and windows smashed in solidarity with anarchist prisoner in Greece, Vagelis Botzatsis. 22 May, Leeds, UK - South Yorkshire Anti-Fascists vandalised the property and cars of a leading British National Party candidate and his two supporting officers. "Nazi Scum" was painted on the windshield and side windows of their vehicles. "The message is clear. We aren't fooled by the new "respectable face" of the BNP. We will not tolerate fascism in our communities and we will do everything in our power to stamp it out. It's time for anti-fascism to hit home."
16 May, Athens, Greece - Attack against a police station by anarchists. According to the media around 15 persons came to the area on motorbikes, left their bikes in a close distance and approached the police station through a small park, initially hurled molotov cocktails against the guard who fired his gun in the air three times to panic them, though they continued throwing gas canisters and molotov cocktails against the parked police cars, destroying 5 patrol cars and two undercover police cars parked nearby.. An unknown man claimed responsibility for a new organization called "Floga" (Flame). State security agency and the anti-terrorist unit have started investigations. The following claim for "Symmories Syneidisis" (Gangs of Conscience) though, was sent to directactiongr(at.)yahoo.gr together with other newspaper and tv-station mail accounts. Here is a translation from "libertarian" posted on athens imc:
"Early in the morning of May 16 and without any special cause or pretext we attacked the Police Station of Aigaleo (Athens). There is though a precise reason why we did it and we will do it again, the reason is the existence of police themsleves. We won't wait for any abuse of authority to come to light, or for some cop to discharge his weapon "far exceeding his duty" , or for "breaking news" revelations of torturing in police stations, trafficking drugs, raping prostitutes etc. We break the silence and apathy of this society, and take the offensive ourselves. Since the police have only one precise role: They are the armed mercenaries of this democratic despotism that safeguard the order and security of the regime. Defenders of the bosses' interests, supervisosr of loyalty, guardians of the orderly circulation of money and commodities.
This is what makes the police an all-time charming target. So let the cops know, from the "tough" riot policemen to the sheriff styled motorbike cops, to every last patrol policeman that what they should respectively expect is no less than a well sized stone on their heads.

We won't go into self-evident matters. Whoever doesn't get that cops are the protectors of this system of exploitation and repression is either an imbecile or a colleague of theirs.
We live in a uniformed reality that carries a gun and controls the modern sterile everyday life and all it comes to is a constant parade of obeying commands and orders, under the sounds of silence and passivity.
Willing to shock this mournful normality, we selected to organize an attack against a police station that symbolizes the protector of the above everyday situation. We selected to strike the "reinforced"* police station of Aigaleo for a couple of other reasons too : First, we wanted to achieve maximum material damage. We already knew that this police station had enough vehicles parked for us to set on fire and this was a fine challenge and a motivation for our action. Secondly, a few months ago in Aigaleo, a "residents committee" appeared, realising a march demanding further policing in the area. This attack against the police station of Aigaleo is our contribution to this dialogue that we intend to open with this particular piece of social snitching.
Finally, as far as the time of the action is concerned, we wanted to bring back another importand date, as a homage to the urban guerrilla Christos Tsoutsouvis who in May 15, 1985 was murdered in an armed clash with policemen in Gizi, only after he managed to execute three of them. This strike is dedicated to all those comrades that in these times of silence and passivity, wilfully insist to ablaze with light the quiet nights of the metropolis with their flames.

*By the term reinforced I tried to describe a special case of some Greek police stations that are the result of a merger of many smaller stations. The greek term is "multiforced".
12 May, Coast Salish Territories (Vancouver), Kanada - Another Royal Bank of Canada attacked by anarchists in the continuing fight against the olympics and beyond. Here is the claim- "On the night of May 12/13, we smashed at the RBC on Broadway and Yukon. One more contribution to the increasingly "unmanageable" anti-olympics resistance, Tom Quiggin, this one's for you.
For those of you who don't get the above reference we are referring to the recent security document publish by Tom Quiggin. In this document he warns that the small actions that have been multiplying over the last year amount to a potential new terrorist threat.
We believe that this small amount of revolt can become a threat to the 2010 corporate agenda. Not because of the actions in themselves but because for every one of us who picks up a match or a stone, there are many more with just as much contempt for this world of profits and prisons, who are just as eager as we are to escape from the graveyard of submission.
In the document Quiggin makes special note of the reference to individuals such as the heads of Bell & RBC in the communications of other recent actions. He hints that this is a sign that we and our allies are developing terrorist tactics. Tom, you bastard, you and all of the other pigs of this world cooperate in terrorizing us every day of the week. Doing your best to keep us down while your system and all those who profit from it continue sucking us dry, spewing poisons into the precious earth, commit genocide of traditional indigenous people and attacking anyone who struggles to live outside and against your established order.
Their forces of repression are very strong, but our passion for freedom is much stronger.

11 May, Thessaloniki, Greece - Military van torched. Here is the communique -

"Let the burnt van of the greek commandos (under UN signs) be the beginning of the attacks against the machine that is made to defend the interests of local capitalists, the machine that brutally absorbs young kids to inoculate them with the microbe of nationalism, the machine that is ready to kill in the name of national integrity. Aris Velouchiotis (August 27, 1905 - June 16, 1945), was a prominent leader of Ethnikos Laikos Apeleftherotikos Stratos (ELAS), the communist segment of Greek guerrilla resistance during World War II, which was followed by the Greek Civil War. He commited suicide under strange conditions, on the mountains where he continued to fight against the greek regime and its british allies, after the communist party came to terms with the regime.

1 May, Jakarta, Indonesia - About 200 Anarchists in Indonesia called Jaringan Anti-Otoritarian (Anti-Authoritarian Network) attacked the biggest corporate company in Indonesia in front of "Wisma Bakrie", Jakarta. The police brutally arrested them and put them in jail, but they were let free on the same night. Another 200 front line Anarchists in Jakarta called Komunitas Bendera Hitam (Black Flag Community) succeeded in making a Long March around Jakarta to celebrate World's Labour Day. On the banner was written "KAMI TIDAK BUTUH BOS TAPI BOS BUTUH KAMI" (WE DON'T NEED THE BOSS BUT THE BOSS NEED US). One Polish anarchist who attended the demonstration also got arrested and was deported.
1 May, Hamburg, Germany - 1,000 nazis marched through Barmbek district, protected by the police, while 10,000 anti-fascists attempted to stop the Nazi demonstration. The police violence against peaceful blockades sparked the heaviest riots Hamburg has seen since the 80's. A tyre depot was set on fire causing a major incident and 2 buses used by nazis to enter the city were set on fire. The anti-nazi actions consisted of rallies, concerts, barricades on the street and on railroad tracks (which actually delayed the arrival of the neo-nazis), and a protest march. When about 8 000 people blocked the starting point of the neo-nazi demonstration, the police, instead of canceling the neo-nazi march, decided to attack the blockade with water cannons, pepper spray and truncheons. The organizers of the anti-nazi demonstration decided to cancel the march at this point. right afterwards, the demonstration was attacked again by thecops for standing on a crossroad which turned out to be part of the alternative route for the fascist demonstration. In the meantime, the nazi demonstration didn't receive as much attention from the police as it should have. most of the police force was engaged in fighting antifascist, while the nazis could attack people on the side of their demonstration, among them a couple of journalists, without the police giving them too much trouble. On the nazi route, the water cannons were in permanent operation to keep off protesters and clear burning barricades. a spontaneous demonstration of 3000 antifascists was stopped by water cannons, close to the S-Bahnhof Ohlsdorf (a train station), which was the end point of the neo-nazi march. When the neo-nazis arrived,they were welcomed with flying stones. The situation almost turned into a street battle with stones been thrown on both sides. When neo-nazi leader Jurgen Rieger started to sing the first verse of the Deutschlandlied (german national hymn), which has been illegal since 1945 (only the third verse is legal), the concluding rally was immediately canceled. the police attempted to arrest Rieger, which failed due to the resistance of his fellow neo-nazis, who fought back the police. With massive pepper spray use, the police managed to move the neo-nazis into the train station. But their departure proved to be difficult, since a lot of their buses were destroyed or left without them. A number of later skirmishes on subways and train stations were reported. On the way back from Hamburg, 200 neo-nazis assaulted everybody at the train station who looked remotely left-wing. the police watched and did nothing for a long time. as the finally decided to arrest one of the fascists, they were attacked by his kameraden. stones, bottles and firecrackers flew through the air, and the cops decided to let the arrestee go. Later that night, in front of the autonomous cultural center Rote Flora, a fight between kids and the police broke out. 4 people were arrested. These Quarrels are common, especially after big demonstrations, and have been more frequent since the G8 protests last year.
9 April, Athens & Saloniki, Greece - Greek anarchists attack Italian interests in solidarity with imprisoned comrades in Italy who are accused of being members of 'F.A.I' (Informal Anarchist Federation). Here is the communique - "On Wednesday April 9 we spotted and torched agencies of Italian interests (Car agencies, Greco-Iralian school bus). By this movement, we send to the imprisoned Italian comrades accused for membership in F.A.I. (Informal Anarchist Federation) our salutation with fire. This is how we re-activate vigorously the internationalist revolutionary solidarity.

March 18, 19 & 20, Thessaloniki & Athens, Greece - Multiple sabotage with fire against corporate targets by anarchists. Here is the claim - "The Conspiracy of Cells of Fire Thessaloniki-Athens claims responsibility for the three-day (18-19-20/3) arson attacks. The police state constitutes an irrefutable reality. Mobilizing the dogma of security (insecurity) it intensifies its repressive action, penetrating every level of the social tissue and tearing it into pieces. Panoptism is utilized in every expression of the older and the new forms of surveillance and the industry of fear is set for good. In every street corner, snitches in uniforms or without, lawful avengers and police informers give an Orwellian perspective to life, ready to prevent and choke even the tiniest delinquent practice or thought. March 18, Santiago, Chile - An explosive device exploded on Tuesday in a branch of the Credit and Investment Bank in Chile's capital of Santiago, severely damaging the first floor of the building but injuring no one. The explosion which occurred at 1 a.m. also smashed windows in buildings close to the branch. "We have witnesses that say one or two dark vehicles carried the attackers," said Ronald Casanueva, an armed police commander. "A significant amount of damage has occurred," said Juan Alarcon, from the eighth Fire Brigade company. Chilean radio said a self-described anarchist group had called to claim responsibility for the attack. Junior Interior Minister Felipe Harboe said Tuesday's attack resembled previous bank attacks. "It is a black powder bomb like those seen in previous occasions, when bank windows were smashed," Harboe said.
March 18, Vancouver, Canada - Paint and glue against the cops in Vancouver. March 17, Prefontaine, Canada - Mazda dealership and Bell Canada vans attacked in the night of March 17-18 2008. "Around 23 cars at a Mazda dealership in Prefontaine had their tires slashed, along with 2 Bell Canada vans sitting in the neighborhood. We act in solidarity with the inspiring actions taken a few days earlier against police cars and a bank. The police are scared, the capitalists are scared, but no one else seems to mind the fires breaking out in their neighborhoods. The media tell us that the police are worried for their "citizens," but the ones who are targeted are not citizens. March 16, Montreal, Canada - Anti-police demo of around 200 people sees 32 people arrested on charges of mischief, assault, assault on a police officer and theft, after riot breaks out. Dozens of downtown corporate windows were smashed, a molotov was used against a police vehicle and many slogans were painted against the police and the capitalist system. Luxury cars were smashed.

March 14, Leeds, UK - "In the early hours of this morning several Leeds venues recently used for meetings of the fascist British National Party were attacked. The BNP have used these venues on a number of occasions, and the venues were in full knowledge of whom they were hosting. The venues were: Ireland Wood Social Club, Leeds; The Dog & Gun public house, Killingbeck, Leeds; Woodkirk Valley Country Club, Tingley, Leeds. March 14, South London, UK - Two teenage lads aged 14 & 15 aquired a car and used it to mow down several armed police officers. One officer was dragged with the car for five to six feet; the other went over the bonnet. One officer sustained heavy bruising and cuts to his leg and arm while the other suffered impact injuries, but neither is in a life-threatening condition. As the car fled the scene it collided with a stationary Armed Response Vehicle on Gwynne Road as it turned around the corner, injuring three other officers who suffered impact injuries. The lads were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

March 14, Lhasa, Tibet - Fires have broken out in the Tibetan city of Lhasa amid reports of rioting, as rare street protests led by Buddhist monks appeared to gather pace. One eyewitness told how large groups of people were setting fire to cars and shops and destroying anything of Chinese influence. The authorities have been brutally repressing the uprising and gunfire has been witnessed by 'Human Rights' monitors. Here is the claim - "Last night, we finally got around to paint-bombing the hideous countdown clock that VANOC (Vancouver Organizing Committee) has blighted the streets with. We would have done it while they were unveiling the thing, but we decided it would be more conducive to our liberty to do it under cover of darkness, rather than in front of a large crowd, many cameras, and a line of pigs (police). March 6, New York, USA - A small explosion caused minor damage to a U.S. military recruiting center in New York's Times Square area in the early hours, there were no injuries. Low-grade explosives packed in an ammunition box cracked the recruiting station's thick glass door and twisted its metal framing. The blast also shattered a window encasing the classic poster of Uncle Sam saying "I Want You." Pigs are linking the blast to explosive attacks against the Mexican (2007) and British Consulates (2005). The 2007 October 26th attack against the Mexican Consulate was in solidarity with the rebellion in Oaxaca State and in memory of Brad Will, anarchist murdered by Mexican government forces. No-one has been arrested for any of the actions. Police are searching for a hooded bicyclist seen on a surveillance video pedaling away.
March 3, Australian Antartic Area, Southern Oceans - Japanese Whaling Fleet confronted by Sea Shepherd anti-whaling militants and bombarded with rotten butter and chemical agents. The Sea Shepherd crew deployed over two dozen bottles of rotten butter sending a stench throughout the whale killing ship that will remain for days. The crew also threw packets of a slippery chemical onto the deck of the Nisshin Maru. This will make it very difficult to cut up whales. The substance becomes even more slippery with water so it will be difficult to wash it off the decks. Four armed Japanese Coast Guard officers clearly identified in their uniforms videotaped the confrontation. Not a single whale has been killed since the Sea Shepherd ship Steve Irwin returned to harass the Japanese whaling fleet in the Australian Whale Sanctuary.

March 3, Navasota, Texas, USA - Prisoners take direct action against surveillance cameras. "On or about March, 3 groups of prisoners carried out a joint and coordinated direct action at the Luther unit Texas Department of Criminal Justice, located in Navasota TX. The 3 groups of prisoners in 3 of the 4 dorms in C-Hall masked themselves in homemade balaclavas and completely destroyed the $2000 dollar surveillance cameras that had recently been installed in the dorms. Despite intense pressure from prison administration all 54 men in each of the 3 dorms (162 men in total) maintained their solidarity in the face of harsh collective punishment and refused to inform on any of their fellow prisoners who carried out the action. It is reported that in at least one of the dorms there was a meeting of the prisoners to plan the action in their dorm, discuss the possible outcome, and vote on the action. This type of collective, coordinated direct action is largely unheard of in the draconian Texas prison system and the solidarity of the prisoners strikes fear into the hearts of the prison authorities. The total property destruction is estimated at close to $8000 Dollars which strikes at the pocket book of a vastly over extended prison industry that is experiencing chronic guard and budget shortages. This past week of May 12 - 16 new cameras were installed in the dorm and extra security measures are being taken in an attempt to prevent a repeat of the direct action of March. DHL provides courier services to EDO MBM, an arms manufacturer supplying weapons to the UK, US and Israeli armed forces As Israel's murderous onslaught on Gaza continues, aided and abetted by weapon's manufactured by EDO MBM Brighton DHL are profiting from providing courier services to EDO. In the early hours of Tuesday morning red paint was thrown at office buildings belonging to DHL in Newland road in Hove. Slogans were painted referring to DHL's contract with EDO MBM. The action was intended to persuade DHL to stop working with EDO MBM. Courier companies are an integral part of EDO's work - without them the company would have no means to transport the weapons components manufactured at their premises in Brighton.
February 27, Montevideo, Uruguay - On the morning of February 27, 2008, there was an attack on the Goethe Institute of Montevideo, an organization connected to the German state, resulting in all of its windows being totally destroyed. This attack represents a show of support and solidarity with the hunger strike that is taking place from February 18 to 29 by insurgent and anarchist prisoners in diverse countries of the world, between Germany, Spain, Switzerland and Argentina. February 5, London, UK - 40 anarchists and anti-fascists picketed the Greek National Tourist Office in London, burning a Greek flag and causing a scene outside the building, in protest at police collusion with a fascist organisation during a nationalist demonstration in Athens on the 2nd Feb. Riot police were seen arming fascist radicals with sticks and protecting them in their lines to attack left-wing and anarchist militants. After the London solidarity picket the agitators took to the streets and resisted the cops attempts to control them.
January 24, Athens, Greece - Banks, car dealerships, and state owned vehicles attacked. Conspiracy of Cells of Fire has claimed responsibility for a series of incendiary attacks against car dealerships, banks, and government vehicles. These attacks took place early Monday morning in the cities of Athens and Thessaloniki. Here is the claim : "Last night's series of incendiary attacks against luxurious car dealerships in Halandri, Kifissia and Argiroupoli, bank subsidiaries in Nea filadelfia, Dafni, Egaleo, Ano Patisia, Dafni and in Thessaloniki at 117, Martiou Street, and against PPC (the state-run power company) cars outside its offices in both Athens and Thessaloniki, is undertaken by the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire Thessaloniki-Athens. We selected to strike the bank subsidiares because they constitute the symbols-tools of exploration and of the economic empire. In parallel, the banks are the modern day corporations that accredit with loanee dreams the consumers, so that they would beglamour voluntarily their misery and their economic state of captivity. We attacked the PPC corporation as a response to the dozens of assassinations of workers that have died in its workplace-prisons because of the lack of security measures, as well as for the deadly effects (such as cancer) that appear at the zones around its power plants. January 2, Ghent, Belgium - Vandalism against the Italian consulate in Ghent. Windows are smashed and coloured paint is thrown at the walls and doors. Graffiti is painted saying "Against All Prisons". A huge protest and hunger strike involving thousands of prisoners within Italy, calling for the abolition of the life sentence, is ongoing, and prisoners abroad in neighbouring countries participated.

- "On Dec. 24 we attacked the private security
company "Group 4 - Wackenhut" headquarters
destroying around 15 vehicles used in
money transfers. This company, apart from
owning private prisons in America and
England, in our country constitutes the most
important piece of the growing police-like corp
of security professionals that floods the
streets, breeding the big brother shoving
cameras, circulating the banks' wealth and
guarding diverse capitalist targets contributing
to the increasing social control and repression."
They also mentioned: "The message
here is clear. When dealing with the rage of

Athens and Thessaloniki, Greece's two largest

December 20, Santiago, Chile - The 'Anti- Capitalist Attack Group of Martyrs of the Santa Maria School' claimed responsibility for an attack against ATM machines of a Banco de Chile branch office with a Molotov cocktail early in the morning. It caused a fire in thebuilding. Solidarity with the Insurrectionists in Chile and the struggle against the state!
December 20, Santiago, Chile - The 'Federacion Revuelta Seccion Antipolicial Antonio Ramon Ramon' claimed responsibility for an explosive attack just after midnight against a police station in Santiago's Nunoa district. The bombing at the Nunoa police station left a hole about 70 centimeters high and 25 to 30 centimeters wide in one of the outside walls of the building and damaged a police car that was parked on the grounds. The blast also broke glass in nearby buildings. About half an hour later the Banco Santander office in Recoleta was attacked with another device. The bomb caused damage to some of the windows. Police believe it might have been a noise device/ firework. Pamphlets demanding the release of Mapuche political prisoners were found in the immediate vicinity of the blast. The case is under investigation by military police intelligence. Extracts from the claim - "We're here again. We've always existed. December 20, Teramo, Italy - A letter bomb containing nails was received by extreme-right militants of the 'Tricolour Flame' political party and exploded, although no-one was injured. The attack scared the two militants and all the inhabitants of the building they were in, who woke up from the noise of the explosion. The attack was denounced by both the left and right wing political parties.
December 19, Santiago, Chile - Explosive attack against a 'Telefonica' branch in San Miguel, Metropolitan Region. The Telefonica blast could be felt within a 10-block radius. The bomb was detonated on the building's interior patio and resulted in a large amount of broken glass from doors and windows. No-one was hurt.

3000 autonomes and anarchists made
a black bloc demo against state

December 8, Coast Salish Territory
(Vancouver, BC Canada) - Attack on the
Royal Bank of Canada. Anarchists attacked
the Royal Bank of Canada (a sponsor of the
2010 Olympics) at the intersection of 1st and
Commercial. Some exceptionally large pieces
of pavement were hurled through the windows.
"This is a tiny taste of the mayhem we
would like to see submerge the city of
Vancouver for 2010. Lets build a constellation

but capitalism and the state in general. We
propose a new sport to be added to the 2010
games, amateur vandalism of Royal Bank of
Canada locations across Vancouver and

November 30, Fishersgate, UK - EDO MBM
arms company attacked. During the early
hours of the morning red paint and bricks were
thrown at the walls and security cameras.
There were no arrests.
November 29, Holland - Young people of
almost all high schools in the Netherlands
walked out into the streets and started to
create chaos. In Amsterdam riot cops on
horses chased 13-year old kids over the
Museumplein and applied the water canon on
them. 250 kids were arrested (in the whole of
Holland). At many places small riots broke out,
kids pelted buildings and cops with eggs,
fireworks and stones. One of the buildings
attacked was that of the main media centre in
Hilversum and that of the parliament in The
Hague. A motivating factor for the rebellion is
a new law the government wants to install
which forces kids to stay longer in school even
Hamburg when there are no teachers available. School
is a production line to produce obedient
workers prepared for wage slavery and
monitoring. It frequently fails!
November 26, Thessaloniki, Greece - 2 cars were completely destroyed and another 5 partially damaged by fire after an arson at 2:50 in the morning near PAOK stadium. The arson was against a French car dealership (for the latest revolt in the suburbs of Paris). Vaggelis Botzatzis was arrested and claims innocence, 3 remain fugitive of terrorist charges and 2 were released after custody. They all belonged to the
anarchist/anti-authoritarian milieu.
November 26, Diyarbakir, Turkey -
Sabotage by militant 'Turk Telekom' telecommunications
workers against Turkish Armed
Forces fiber-optic telecommunication lines.
After a three-week pursuit the police
apprehended 17 suspects, among whom
were three members of the Turkish Telecommunication
Workers Union (Turkiye Haber-
Is). The suspects stated that the sabotage
was aimed at the 2nd Tactical Air Force
Command's communication lines and also
the Turkish Armed Forces. Due to the
sabotage Turkish F-16s returning from an
operation against the Kurdistan Workers'
Party (PKK) were unable to land in
Diyarbakir. There has been ongoing industrial
action by workers of 'Turk Telekom'.
November 26, Villiers-le-Bel, Paris, France
- More than 100 police officers were injured,
five of them seriously, when bands of youths
rioted for days in the suburbs of Paris after
the deaths of two minority teenagers. 4 pigs
were injured by gun-fire and one riot cop
was shot in the shoulder with a high-calibre
rifle. The town's police chief was beaten in
the face after he tried to negotiate with the
rioters. Gun fire was used to attack the
Sarcelles police station, which was burnt to
the ground. Young people stood around and
laughed as they watched it burn to ruins. In
addition, 63 vehicles and five buildings,
including a library and two schools, were set
on fire as the unrest spread to six suburban
ghettos north of Paris 24 hours after two
youths, aged 15 and 16, were killed when
their off-road motorcycle was struck by a
police car in the suburb of Villiers-le-Bel. In
the first two days of rioting nearly 100 cars
and a dozen buildings were set on fire or
otherwise damaged by groups of young
people. On the A1 highway outside of Paris,
bold graffiti letters promised "Revenge for
Villiers-le-Bel." Cars were burning in at least
four neighboring suburbs, and minor clashes
occurred in at least one other town. "That's
just the beginning. This is a war. There is no
mercy," one youth was reported to have said.
"We want two cops dead."
November 23, Georgia, USA - The
Albany Dougherty Police Drug Squad
compound was fire-bombed Sunday
night around 9 PM. Investigators
believe that two Molotov cocktails
were thrown over a fence from the
alley between Pine and Broad
Avenue. Four cars were damaged,
including one undercover vehicle
which was totalled. A marked patrol
car was also struck by one of the
devices, but was only singed. Police
have no suspects but plan to dust the
remnants of the two broken bottles for
fingerprints.
November 21, France - France's
high-speed TGV rail network has been
damaged by a "coordinated concerted
campaign of sabotage", the
SNCF state-owned rail operator has
said. It said acts of sabotage overnight,
including fires, caused huge
delays to TGV services already hit by
a long transport union strike over
reforms. The SNCF blamed militants
for the attacks, saying they wanted to
harm ongoing talks to end the strike.
Union officials deplored the attacks as
acts of vandalism. The week of strikes
has caused havoc across France.
Businesses started complaining that
the strikes are hurting their operations
and Finance Minister Christine
Lagarde said the dispute was costing
France up to 400m euros (290m Sterling) a
day.
November 21, Tarragona, Catalonia
- Several youths made a symbolic
attack on the military barracks of the
'Guardia Civil' (Spanish military
police) by throwing several paint
bombs and eggs at the front of the
building. This action was aimed at
defying the very existence of this
Spanish repressive military body
which is still present throughout the
Catalan Countries, as well as to
condemn them as torturers and post-
Francoists who endorse fascism and
are imposed throughout the Catalan
region, preventing its social emancipation.
After the action 4 young
people were pursued and arrested but
they refused to give a statement, they
were charged with acts of public
disorder.
November 19, Barcelona, Catalonia
- In response to the murder of Carlos,
a 16 year old anti-fa militant by a Nazi
in Madrid, anti-fascists and anarchists
lit garbage bins on fire and attacked
the headquarters of the regional interior
affairs department. Similar demonstrations
were also held in Madrid and also ended in
open conflict. In Barcelona 10 Police
officers were injured and seven protesters
were arrested.

Action in answer to the repression of the

Smashed windows, then Molotovs thrown
into the town hall of the district Horta-

November 17, Thessaloniki, Greece - On
the day of the student uprising remembrance
against the American-backed fascist
military junta in 1973, at 4:20 in the morning
an anarchist group used gas canister bombs
to destroy two police cars, one van, and the
glass windows of an office of the municipal
police at Evosmos district. A communique
appeared at athens.indymedia.org, claiming
the action in the name of "A Minor group of
mostly mentally disordered persons, with a
loose perversion to commit unlawful actions,
ruining public and private properties". This is
in fact is a term used by V. Floridis, a public
prosecutor when he announced that the
police will be authorised to perform arrests
inside the universities. In Greek law the
universities were a refugee from the law, due
to the the armed invasion of the police and
the army in the schools in 1973 which
caused dozens of fatalities and many cases
of torture to preserve the power of the junta.
The group claims it was an act of solidarity
with 3 anarchists imprisoned before for trial -
Marios Tsourapas, Chrissostomos
Kontorevithakis and Christina Tonidou - and
demands "freedom to all captivated
prisoners of democracy".
Also, diverse attacks happened during the
customary marches of remembrance of the
November 1973 events. Stones and paint
were thrown at the Court Council of the
State, banks and ATMs got damaged.
Clashes between protesters and undercover
policemen and between protesters and
PASOK (ex-ruling party) youth members also
happened. (During last year's November 17
march, PASOK youth members had paid
some hooligans to beat left wing and
anarchist protesters, to defend their bloc
from any possible threat). More than 20,000
people participated in the marches in
Athens, while the state mobilised more than
8,000 policemen. Some protesters also
attacked the Lefkou Pyrgou Police
Departement (At Aristotelous Square) with
sticks and stones. In Heraklion, Crete,
attacks with stones, bottles and paint were
made against bank subsidiaries and security
cameras, during the march.
November 12, Larnaca, Cyrpus - Gas
canister attack against "Elliniki" Bank in
Larnaka. Unfortunately police have already
charged two suspects, 33 & 34 years old,
and claimed they previously attempted to
steal money from the bank's ATM, and after
failing to do so, they set it on fire using 5
gas canister devices.
November 11, Athens, Greece - Unidentified
persons set the Alpha Bank subsidiary
at Theatrou Square on fire, a little after
midnight. They broke the glass window and
threw both gas canisters and Molotov
cocktails inside the bank, that resulted in a
serious fire, damaging the other floors of the
building as well. In a communique sent to
"Eleftherotipia" news paper the action is
claimed for the "Empristikes Sinidisis"
(Arsonist Spirits) mentioning: "Our attack
was not simply an act of juxtaposition
against the centers that manage the
Economy. The ashes we left behind us will
soon vanish into thin air leaving their place
to new offices, darling employees, stable
bank rates and anxious consumers", "Our
attack didn't target just the mess-up with the
normal money circulation, but to immediately
attack those who tolerate and consent. To all
these that sign contracts of obedience, that
choose to stand waiting in a bank line
faithfully repeating the advertising paradigms,
reproducing such strong goodcivilian
feelings", "It was an attack of active
solidarity and a message for what is about
to follow, dedicated to Giorgos Voutsis-
Vogiatzis, who expropriated the "Ethiki"
Bank at Gizi, denying to come to terms with
the legality of this world."
November 11, Prague, Czech - Anarchist &
Anti-Fa black bloc smashed a Neo-Nazi
demo called by the organisation 'Young
National Democrats'. 300 to 400 Neo-Nazis
arrived in the Czech capital with the
intention to march through its historic Jewish
Quarter on the anniversary of Nazi
Germany's "Night of Broken Glass" pogrom
against Jews. A police presence of 1615
officers on the streets barred most Neo-
Nazis from getting anywhere near the
historic Jewish district, stopping them in
metro stations and elsewhere. Two bus
loads of German right-wing extremists never
reached the city centre and were turned
back to Germany. 1,500 anarchists gathered
in the city to protest the banned
Neo-Nazi march, chasing and beating
up the Neo-Nazis who made it
downtown. Forty anarchists armed
with sticks were detained after they
turned against the police who tried to
break up the clashes and protect the
Nazis. Police detained 396 radicals,
40 of whom were anti-fascists, during
the clashes between anarchists and
Neo-Nazis. Nearly 200 will be
charged with misdemeanors. The
police confiscated many weapons,
including guns, batons and knives.
Medics treated seven people,
including one policeman, for head
injuries sustained in the street
fighting.
November 8, Athens, Greece - Gas
canister exploded near a police station. 13
gas canisters (only two of them exploded)
were placed near a police station in Patissia
district, Athens. Near them were found some
leaflets demanding "Freedom to Zoniana".
Zoniana is a village in Crete where, after a
policeman got injured when unknown
persons opened fire against him, the police
took over the whole village with more than
200 men from the special police forces,
undercover policemen and riot police units
on an inquiry of any violations of arms and
drugs laws. The Zoniana residents got
mistreated and many of them beaten by the
policemen that besieged the village.
November 2, Manchester, UK - The locks
of the 'Northern Assurance' Building were
super-glued shut in the early hours of the
morning. This was an act of sabotage
against FD Tamesis, housed in this building,
intended to highlight the company's
involvement in the construction of what will
be the UK's largest immigrant deportation
centre, 'Brook House' near Gatwick Airport.
Financial Dynamics, of which FD Tamesis is
the Manchester branch, is a 'business and
financial communications' consultancy firm
which is managing public relations for Brook
House on behalf of the UK Home Office.
October 26, New York City, USA - Early morning explosives rocked the Mexican Consulate shattering windows and waking neighbors, nearly one year to the day since gunmen sympathetic to the Mexican ruling party assassinated anarchist Brad Will. The murder of Brad Will sparked weeks of protest in his home of New York City. Demonstrators occasionally got unruly and left the Mexican Consulate on East 39th Street damaged. NYPD detectives have reviewed surveillance cameras from the area and believe that a lone man in his 20s hurled two small home made grenade-like explosive devices at the consulate building around 3:30 am this morning and left the scene on a bicycle. The attack has been compared to a 2005 attack at the British Consulate (an artisan pipe bomb was detonated damaging the facade of the building). Windows were broken but no one was injured in either incident nor have police made any arrests or named any suspects but at least one local anarchist was questioned by the FBI in connection with the 2005 bombing.
October 21, Copenhagen, Denmark - A group of black-clad autonomen attacked the Islamophobic anti-immigration group 'Stop Islamisation Of Europe' (SIOE), prior to a demonstration they had announced outside the Institute of Human Rights. The anti-fascists ambushed 2 vehicles holding the security team and organisers of the event, seriously injuring 4 people. The autonomen were not arrested and fled the scene. The extreme-right wing group claimed a senior organiser and a security team member would have been killed had they not been wearing stab-proof vests.
October 19, Thessaloniki, Greece - Gas canister attacks against bank and ruling political party offices. At 4 o'clock in the morning a fire erupted on an ATM device of an 'Ethniki' bank subsidiary at Ydra square, in Kalamaria. 15 minutes later, a gas canister attack lead to an arson at the Nea Dimokratia (rulling party) offices on Efessou Str. 54, causing glass windows to break and minor damages. A group named "Foundation 'Gilles Bonnot'" claimed responsibility for the attacks, with the following text: "Capitalism can be brought down. But not with arguments." "Eternal youth/ my night-time companion/ we are both fully aware of it/ that two explosions like the ones last night/ at Ethniki bank in Ydras square/ and at the N.D. offices in Krini/ worth truly more/ than two full spades of diamonds. - Dedicated to Giorgos Voutsis-Vogiatzis. Freedom to all prisoners. - Foundation 'Gilles Bonnot'". Notes: N.D. (Nea Dimokratia) is the ruling party in Greece. Giorgos Voutsis-Vogiatzis is an anarchist arrested after a bank expropriation in Athens.
October 17, Newark, UK - A group of 15 climate change activists from protest group 'Food Not Fuel' entered the Bio Fuel Expo & Conference taking place at the Newark Showground and took over the keynote speech. Mr. Oliver Mace, CEO of BP Fuels, the lead sponsors of the event received a cream pie in the face. Another campaigner was D-locked to the podium and various alarms were set off. The hall was emptied and talks were cancelled. There were no arrests. Throughout the afternoon, people held a very visible protest outside the conference which was held at the Newark Show-ground, north of Nottingham. To coincide with the national Bio Fuels Conference, protestors from No Agrofuels UK blockaded the D1 oils refinery and offices in Middlesbrough to raise awareness of the detrimental impact of agrofuels. 18 Protestors chained the 3 gates to the refinery shut and 2 activists were D-locked to the main gates. No vehicles were able to enter or leave the site and all work appeared to have been stopped. Several banners were tied over the gates including "No Agrofuels - Land 4 People, Food, Biodiversity".
October 17, Brighton, UK - A Sussex policeman was attacked by about 50 cows, leaving him with four broken ribs and a punctured lung. Insp Chris Poole, 50, said the cattle repeatedly butted and stamped on him when he was out walking his dog on the South Downs earlier this month. The officer, from Brighton, said he was crossing a field along a footpath. One cow butted him in the back, forcing him to the ground, before the others joined in, he recalled. Mr Poole said he managed to escape when his Golden Retriever, called Zak, fled, distracting the cows. He was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital by air ambulance after attracting the attention of another dog walker. He suffered bruising from his thigh to his shoulder, and faced a life-threatening situation three days later when one of his broken ribs severed an artery. Now that's what we call Animal Liberation!
October 16, Kimberley, UK - Anti-fascists successfully blockaded a British National Party (BNP) meeting venue. The hall was surrounded by anti-fascists from well before the event was scheduled to take place. The anti-fascists massively outnumbered the police as well as the BNP and their supporters. Antifash wrote: "In a pincer move of dangerous guile and cunning we approached the parish hall where the fash were due to meet from two different directions. In a bit of an anti-climax there were only a handful of coppers and no obvious fascist presence. We quickly moved into a line to completely block the front of the hall, preventing any movement in and out. After a bit of pushing and shoving with the outnumbered police we had a line several people deep across the driveway to the hall. Down at the other end people blocked the pedestrian entrance to the hall. No wannabe fascists were going to get into this meeting."
October 15, Nationwide, UK - Local groups which formed to mobilise for this year's Camp for Climate Action, took action against the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), a major backer of the aviation industry and the world's self-described 'Oil and Gas Bank'. Over 32 protests and actions took place, with Headquarters being targeted, local branches occupied, lock-ons, stickered, leafleted and many banners displayed letting the public know about the banks role in climate change. A Sheffield based group wrote; "RBS is helping force open the carbon frontier, financing controversial projects in Nigeria, the Caucasus and Wales. Its involvement in Angolan and Nigerian oil fields encourages corruption and conflict, while gas projects from the Arabian Gulf to the Gulf of Mexico threaten environmental destruction. October 15, Athens, Greece - Surveillance system destroyed in Polytechnical School. At 3 o'clock people from the self-managed info-shop of the Polytechnical School and other companions, broke down 15 surveillance cameras around the school's library and destroyed the monitors and the whole control room. Kurt Gustav Wilckens was born on the 3th of November 1886 in Germany. As an anarchist he was active in Germany, the United States and Argentina. In 1922 he decided to hit the Argentinean lieutenant-colonel Varela who is responsible for the slaughter of 1500 striking land workers in Patagonia. The 25th of January 1923 he throws a bomb to Varela. The bomb hits both legs and Varela grasps his sable. Wilckens pulls his revolver and finishes the hangman. He is arrested and locked up. In the night of 16th of June 1926 Wilckens gets killed in his cell by the prison guard Perez Millan (member of the Patriotic League).
October 6, Berne, Switzerland - Autonomen and anarchists wrecked havoc at a right-wing political rally by building barricades, throwing petrol bombs and torching cars. The Swiss capital of Berne was turned into a battle zone when anarchists and left-wing radicals seized control of the main square outside parliament, routing the main far-right political party two weeks before a general election and catching the Swiss police off guard. Police officers admitted they had been outwitted by the guerrilla tactics of the rioters who set fires, lifted paving stones, torched vehicles, hurled stones and petrol bombs, and laid waste to jewellers' stores and posh watch dealers. The planned right-wing rally was hijacked and distrupted by up to 1,000 masked autonomous street fighters who blocked the SVP's (Swiss Peoples party) progress, outwitted the police by operating in small groups moving in and out of the crowds, and ransacked the SVP stage and campaign equipment. The Federal Square, site of a charming Saturday morning flower and vegetable market, resembled a war zone by Saturday night, littered with debris, masonry, shattered glass and torched metal. The city mayor admitted "impotence" in the face of the riots. The SVP is lead by Christoph Blocher, a tough-talking populist and millionaire industrialist. The far-right party is tipped to win the elections later this month, following a blunt anti-immigrant campaign, broadsides against the European Union, and a robust affirmation of traditional Swiss isolationism. The party's main election poster bears the slogan: My Home, Our Switzerland, Keep It Secure. It shows three white sheep kicking a black sheep off the red-and-white Swiss flag. The UN's xenophobia watchdog, based in Switzerland, described the explicit anti-immigrant message as openly racist.
October 6, Copenhagen, Denmark - Dramatic street activity in Copenhagen as anarchists and autonomen attempted to squat a large plot of land and warehousing named "G13." On Saturday 6th, between 3,000 - 6,000 people took part in a co-ordinated day of action and resistance which was met with heavy police repression. All the time demonstrators used the confrontational, but non-violent, methods accepted by all. That meant people pushed police lines, climbed over secured police-vans, used ladders to get over fences, used tools for cutting fences, used gas-masks to stay inside the gassed areas, ran around in 4 big decentralised groups, crossed railway tracks. The police used dog units, batons and an amount of CS gas never seen in Denmark before . The people made it through police lines into the G13 site, to occupy it for several hours, but were cleared from the building. Also the pigs arrested a total of 437 people, which is a new Danish record of arrests done in a single police action. People were left on concrete floor, their hands tied up for hours with no water and so on, but a few crafty ones were able to slip their bonds...
October 6, Athens, Greece - Mobile phone antenna brought down. More than 40 people responded to the Residents' Committee and took part in an open air sabotage of a 'WIND' mobile phone antenna placed in an area with kinder-gardens and schools, in Prombona area of Ano Patisia.
October 2, Brighton, UK - Firefighters were called out twice in two hours after cars were deliberately set on fire. The first incident took place at around midnight when a 'parked 'Kia Pride' was destroyed. Fire crews dealt with the blaze and were later called to an area near Church Place in Brighton at around 2am, where an 'Austin Metro' was on fire. Youths are suspected.

September 29, Rheinbach & Aachen, Germany - About 70 comrades gathered at the prisons of Rheinbach and Aachen, in solidarity with anarchist prisoners Gabriel Pombo da Silva and Jose Fernandez Delgado.. At Rheinbach, about 200 tennis balls with messages against prison fly over the wall. In Aachen the comrades outside could hear the shouts of Gabriel Pombo da Silva. A text was read and distributed to the few people who passed by.
September 29, Ghent, Belgium - About 70 people take the streets and demonstrate through the city centre in solidarity with Gabriel, Jose and all prisoners in struggle. The demo ends in front of the prison of Ghent. In Brussel several slogans of rage appeared on building like 'Death to prison and its world' at the Hallepoort, 'Let's burn prison' at the Justice Tribunal. Two banners were hung on the big roads around the centre of Brussels.
September 28, Bilbao, Euskadi - About thirty individuals gather at the German Consulate and distribute pamphlets in solidarity with Gabriel, Jose and all prisoners in struggle. Some enter the Consulate to make them send a fax to the German Ambassador in Madrid and the German minister of Foreign Affairs.
September 28, Montevideo, Uruguay - "In the night of Friday 28th of September the locks of the Goethe Institute (German cultural institution) and Iberia [Spanish Airlines Company] got sealed. September 1, Copenhagen, Denmark - A several thousand strong demo marked the six months anniversary of the eviction of Ungdomshuset, a long-running autonomous project and social space. In 2000, the local government sold the building to a Christian group that obtained a court order to evict the squatters. Squatters running the centre were evicted from the building by an anti-terror squad on 1 March, sparking the worst civil unrest in Denmark since World War 2. The six months anniversary demo was followed by a street party with sound-system and djs on the site of the now torn down Ungdomshuset. During the night the party erupted into full blown riots resulting in massive damage to several franchise stores, and banks, burning barricades and cars, several injured police officers and a burnt riot van. During the riots approximately 65 people were arrested, 5 of whom were detained longer than 24 hours. Many were charged with disturbing the peace or assaulting a police officer.
August 31, Lancashire, UK - Prisoners revolted at Lancashire Farms Young Offenders Institution when prison guards went on a national strike for better pay and benefits. The guards attempted to lock down 500 inmates into their cells but prisoners on two wings resisted and caused "significant damage" More than 120 quick reaction control and restraint officers, known as 'Tornado Teams', were sent in from several prisons to deal with the unrest. Eight tornado teams - containing about 16 officers each - have been dispatched from other prisons across the region," he said. A number of juveniles have been moved out of Lancaster Farms following the trouble.

August 28, 29 & 30, Cornwall, UK - Urban sprawl targeted as people burn down expensive new houses in poor rural area. Police in Cornwall are linking three arson attacks at new housing estates in the county. The attacks destroyed the kitchen of a show home in Penryn and a portable building and marketing suite at two sites in Truro. The fires occurred on three consecutive nights. Police say they have not ruled out the possibility that they were caused by extremists who have threatened action over the issue of affordable housing, unsustainable development and city manipulation of rural areas.
August 21, Breacon Beacons, UK - The Brecon beacons gas pipeline works were sabotaged during a night action as part of the week of action against climate change and in defence of the earth. Armed with only a wrecking bar and determination a small team was able to bypass the poor security and render immobile a total of 11 machines including tipper trucks and excavators. Major engine and hydraulic components were destroyed and the pipeline itself was holed in several places. This action was carried out by normal people and was easy to achieve others should consider similar actions. The pipeline is destroying natural habitats in order to supply a fuel that we cannot burn if the life on this planet is to survive.
August 19, Amsterdam, Holland - Sabotage of luxury vehicles in solidarity with Jeff "Free" Luers. Here is the claim from the group responsible : "On the night of Sunday 19th - monday 20th, 23 cars (most sport utility vehicles) got damaged by putting building foam inside the (key) trigger. And with graffiti on the outside saying "Free Jeff". This action is in solidarity with Jeff "Free" Luers, condemned by the Oregon courts. He was sent to prison for 23 years. He is a victim of the green scare and we want to support him and tell him he's not alone!"
August 19, Great Yarmouth, UK - A police station in Norfolk came under siege in the early hours of the morning when a group of about 100 people built barricades and hurled stones, beer and wine bottles at the pig station. The attack in Great Yarmouth happened after police brutally raided and broke up an "unlicensed music event" (free party) at an industrial estate and arrested three people in a van carrying sound equipment. Ch Supt Bob Scully said the arrested people were not involved in the police station attack, but they were linking the two incidents. The attack was declared a major incident by Norfolk Police. Police said they broke up the "unlicensed music event" at a warehouse on the Harfrey industrial estate on the outskirts of the resort just before midday. 15 people were arrested at the riot. No justice No peace! Fuck the Police!

August 10, Berlin, Germany - Amongst the cars burned down at the weekend there was a "Porsche" and a "Hummer" jeep, as well as a "Renault Megane" company vehicles of nuclear company Siemens AG and a "Opel Meriva" car of the Bundeswehr (Federal Defence Force - the united armed forces of Germany. In the night of the 10th of August unknown people let down the air of the tyres of two cars of the Deutsche Bahn in Friedrichshain. Besides these actions there were others: So more cars were set on fire in Hamburg the lasts nights and in Schassneberg unknown people cut the tyres of four "Daimler-Chrysler". It looks like the militant campaign is not over after the G8 and neither is intimidated by the raids, as especially the arson attack on a Bundeswehr vehicle shows. August 4, Oxfordshire, UK - A riot broke out in the Campsfield House immigration prison, leading to 26 migrants escaping. 15 have since been recaptured, while the rest are still on the run. It followed a yard protest on Tuesday night against the appalling conditions inside the detention centre, which is run by American company GEO, and the discriminatory decisions of Newport immigration court, which is used for bail hearings and appeals involving Campsfield detainees. Three solidarity demos were held on Tuesday midday at Campsfield House, Lindholme (Doncaster) and the Communication House (London).
July 30, Essex, UK - ELF hits Rio Tinto Alcan in Essex in solidarity with Saving Iceland, here is the claim - "Rio Tinto Alcan, perhaps the worlds worst polluter / murderer, had one of its factories sabotaged in Essex in retaliation for buying into the ecocide of Iceland. Damage was done in support of the ongoing campaign against the heavy industrialisation of Iceland. In the early hours of 30/07/07, saboteurs struck at Smurfit Kappa, a plastics factory owned by Rio Tinto Alcan in Chelmsford, Essex. The gates were locked shut, office doors and loading bays were sabotaged with glue and a message left painted on the wall. Vehicles belonging to Rio Tinto were also sabotaged. Rio Tinto, who have recently acquired the business have arguably the worse record of any corporation for abuse of the earth and its people. Whether they're sponsoring and training paramilitaries committing genocide in the South Pacific, removing entire mountain tops in Africa or strip mining virgin rainforest that belongs to indigenous tribes, they must be stopped. Rio Tinto's recent acquisition of Alcan makes them party to the greatest ecological crime currently being committed in Europe. They are looking to turn Iceland's great wildernesses into a series of monolithic power stations to power aluminium smelters; one of the most polluting and energy intensive industries in the world. Rio Tinto bring repression wherever they go, in Bouganville in the South Pacific they hired mercenaries to rape and murder all who opposed their massive copper mine, Panguna. Their invasion into Iceland is no different and protests against heavy industry are being met with police violence and activists are fitted up and subject to state sponsored slander. 21 July, Santiago, Chile - An explosive device detonated outside the front of the home of the Chilean Home Minister Patricia Poblete, to the east of Santiago. The police claimed that there had been no damage inflicted to property or people. The device was placed in a waste basket located to the front of the residence of the Minister, in the town of Vitacura. Poblete was at home when it happened. The identity of the people responsible is not known. The past Sunday 15 of July an explosive device exploded in the building of the embassy of Great Britain in Santiago, while Wednesday and Friday false alarms were made in the embassies of the U.S.A. and Canada.
July 20, Athens, Greece - Attack on two banks in Athens. In solidarity with the imprisoned comrade Yiannis Dimitrakis a group of anarchists attacked two banks in the center of Athens in the morning, causing great damages but no injuries to people. They threw leaflets in support of the condemned anarchist who recieved 25 years of prison for robbing a bank. The group of 15 people attacked the Eurobank and the National Bank using iron bars, rocks and wood. 9 people were arrested but they were freed because of lack of evidence.
July 20, Edinburgh, Scotland - Icelandic Consulate Targeted by Activists. On the morning of 20th July, the Icelandic consulate on Queen St, Edinburgh was targeted by members of 'Saving Iceland'. Yellow paint was thrown on the building, the lock was glued and a message was affixed to the exterior reading "The Whole World is Watching". "Iceland Bleeds" was also painted on the steps. The action served as response to recent acts of police brutality against Saving Iceland activists in Reykjavik who continue to oppose the assault on the Icelandic wilderness by heavy industry.
July 18, Madrid, Spain - 30 real estate agents had their locks sealed with glue and defaced with paint. This was done in solidarity with the self-organised squatted social centre 'La Alarma', which is threatened with eviction. The slogans painted on the estate agents declared "No to the evictions" and "We will continue dreaming, we will continue squatting". The claim announced that "We try with this action to make visible the existing conflict between real estate and the occupied social centers".
July 17, Santiago, Chile - The "Leon Czolgosz Autonomous and Destructive Forces" claimed responsibility for an attack against the British Embassy in Santiago to protest the aggression against Iraq and Afghanistan, in an e-mail sent to some Chilean media. The anarchist group named after Czolgosz, the assassin of US President William McKinley, also claimed responsibility for last year's explosion at the National Intelligence Agency, to prove its vulnerability. The British Embassy explosion caused damage only to the first floor windows and diplomatic personnel on the scene later said they had not been threatened prior to the attack. Police are continuing investigations while the embassy announced stricter security measures. According to Chilean media, the electronic mail sent by the group said the attack "represents our armed solidarity with the anti-imperialist resistance that fight the cowardly occupying armies, in the lands where capital seeks to bury its claws.", "We are talking about Iraq, Afghanistan, and many other territories that refuse to bear the harmful presence of these criminals in their lands. Criminals that assassinate and torture, sent and supported by the rotten monarchy led by the Elizabethan corpse, which still breathes for now.", "This action expresses our rejection of the continous support that the monarchic British state delivers to the Zionist State. This action shows our unrestricted support to the autonomous and insurrectionist groups that are within England who want to strike against monarchy and capital. July 15, London, Uk - Invasion of London Branch of Israeli State Export Company. At 1pm on Sunday 15th July 2007 a group of Palestine solidarity activists and anarchists entered the depot of Carmel Agrexco and proceeded to leaflet workers about their employers' exports from the occupied Palestinian territories. The Israeli flag was taken down from outside the depot and a Palestinian flag flown. The anarchists took down the UK flag and replaced it with the black flag of anarchy. Two people locked on to a truck in the forecourt of the premises and remained locked-on for four hours. Police told activists that no-one was going to be arrested because the company wouldn't 'let them play'. Carmel Agrexco have repeatedly chosen not to prosecute activists who disrupt their business after a court case from 2004-6 threatened to expose the company's complicity in war crimes under the International Criminal Court Act 2001.
July 12, Edinburgh, Scotland - Arms company attacked. Here is the claim : "Early this morning, Selex, a company heavily involved in the arms trade, was attacked by the Fuck The War Coalition. This is the third time activists from FTWC have smashed the windows of this corrupt company. In the attacks dozens of windows were smashed. Selex is part of the massive Finmecannica corporation, a company which actively supports and makes a profit from war. Selex designs and manufactures parts for artillery, Apache helicopters, and military aircraft such as the Harrier and the Eurofighter Typhoon. Such companies have too much influence in government and as we have seen this corruption runs all the way to the top - with Tony Blair securing arms sales in Saudi Arabia, and BAE bribing Saudi princes and officials with millions of pounds all approved and facilitated by the Ministry of Defence and the Labour Government. The arms trade is corrupt and immoral, and we must stop big business making a profit from murder and war. These companies sell weapons to oppressive regimes, countries involved in civil wars, and countries whose social welfare is damaged by military spending. June 15, Halifax, Canada - Under the banner "G8 to Atlantica: Resistance is Global", a Black Bloc of around 70 anarchists used rocks, sticks, paint and smoke bombs to skirmish with police and attack banks and hotels where a freetrade delegations were being hosted for a meeting of officials of the Atlantica: the International Northeast Economic Region (AINER). At the end of the day twenty one people had been arrested and one block member and two police sustained serious injuries.
June 8, Berlin, Germany- Several incidents occured in Berlin on the finishing night of the G8. Unknown culprits destroyed several windowpanes of a Job-centre in Neukölln. A bank in Pankow was also destroyed by a large group. In Treptow a 16 person group set fire to 8 cars and smashed another 4. A "BMW" in the Böcklingstraße in Friedrichshain was burned about 2.45am whereby also a "Skoda" standing beside it was pulled in. At the Rudolfplatz in the same quarter, about 3 o'clock two "BMWS" were ignited. An "Opel" standin
