Demo against Fiamme Tricolore, Milan

On Saturday 11 March 2006, in Milan there was a demo to protest against a march organized the same day by the neo nazi group Fiamma Tricolore. About 400 people, left antagonists and anarchists from North Italy and other countries gathered in the streets, despite police denied permissions.

The riots that followed brought to the arrest of 45 people. During the incidents McDonalds and Nike stores had their windows smashed. Several cars, a newsagent Kiosk and a right-wing party office was burned.

35 people were arrested and put into prison accused of property destruction, robbery, arson and other counts. As we understand it they have all been released pending trial.
